The Neon Moon setting is my original take on a cyberpunk world, using the archetype of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck. As with any Tarot deck, there is a story behind each card, and each combination of cards tells a different story. The characters in the cards represent wealthy but repressed and restrained groups, contrasted with poor but diverse and free groups, who fight for their survival and identity against the many systems designed to control them.
Neon Moon tells the story of unfettered corporations benefiting the immortal few who live on a plate separated from the impoverished masses. With the arrival of a strange neon full moon, magic returns to the world, bringing with it the hope of subverting the city's oppressive power structures.
